The company is aligned with the corporate social responsibility program of its parent company, Symrise. The protection of employees, the environment and society, customer satisfaction, and economic success are all equally important. Tesium defines clear goals for quality, energy use, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and customer orientation, which the company communicates to all employees. It continually monitors and evaluates results and improvements to enable continued development of the processes.
Tesium commits itself to complying with all legal provisions as well as internal regulations. This includes, for example:
01. Supporting the standards for quality, energy, environmental protection and occupational health and safety in the company and incorporating suppliers,
02. keeping environmental impacts within legal requirements and, if possible, minimizing them further,
03. using energy based on legal specifications, optimizing energy use, and using alternative or renewable energy when possible,
04. complying with legal requirements for occupational health and safety.
Symrise, Tesium and Symotion store and process numerous chemical substances at the Weser and Solling plants. They serve as raw materials and additives for the production of fragrances and flavors. Whenever these substances are present above a certain limit, the Hazardous Incident Ordinance applies (12. BimSchV – officially the “Twelfth regulation for the implementation of the Federal Immission Control Act”). This categorizes the different hazardous substances and obliges us to prevent or limit incidents.
